about

this record is very different for me, more private than public...

it was created in march amidst the growing concern of covid-19 and the first week of quarantine, something that is now a regular part of our lives. as news of the virus spread early in the year, i felt very drained of my creative energy and hardly touched the saxophone. listening to music also started to feel stale...but it was in this rut that i came upon the fluxus movement that i've always heard about but never fully dove into. researching texts and recordings, i felt rejuvenated again and in that spirit came this record.

the foundations of the two pieces come from field recordings, heavy rainfall during that first quarantined weekend making the dread all the more heavy and sounds from being indoors at home. splashes of locations appear as a reminder of memories and times when we could freely move around and adventure whether it be in the country or around the world...
